Mary Johnson

Mom, Grandma, Educator, Animal lover, Nature Lover, Researcher, Singer, Yodeler, Healing Touch Provider.

Mary taught nursing at St. Olaf College during the time the program combined with Gustavus Adolphus College and the College of St. Catherine to form the Minnesota Intercollegiate Nursing Consortium (1987 - 2018) She retired in 2005 and continued to teach a class on Energy Healing in the Center for Spirituality and Healing at the University of Minnesota. She has provided Healing Touch at Pathways since 1994 and serves on the Pathways Board of Directors.

She joined the American Holistic Nurses Association in 1984 and became passionate about connecting with others in Minnesota who were on the same path. They became organized as a chapter of AHNA in 1987, and she has been on the MinnHNA Leadership Council ever since.

Mary was born in Virginia, MN. Her dad was an army officer in WWII, and they lived in Germany after the war where she developed her enduring love for horses. Mary joined the ROTC program while attending St. Olaf and started her career as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Army Nurse Corps. Her horse, Pachelbel, helps her cope with the pandemic.
